Excellent Sunday trial session at Hove
The semi-finals of the Coral Gold Collar are the feature of the card at Hove on Sunday but there are some excellent trials to enjoy before racing as well.

Hove on Sunday has excellent trials ahead of racing
There is an excellent card at Hove on Sunday, but those who get there early will get an added treat with some outstanding quality in the trial session as well.
Garfiney Blaze has been off a month since he finished beind his kennelmate Mongys Wild in the final of the Premier Greyhound Racing St Leger. He is straight back over six bends with the upcoming George Curtis and Ballyregan Bob Memorial coming up in December. Mongys Wild is in action himself over four bends.
Although it is the Mark Wallis team who immediately catch the eye, one of the more interesting dogs at the session is Maxine Locke's Droopys Scratch. He commanded a big price at the pre-Derby Sales at Towcester, making a winning debut at Monmore in August. Both he and The Other Chief made the final of a minor puppy comp on Ladbrokes Gold Cup/Summer Stayers night at the track won by Turnthemagicon.
Droopys Berries made the semi-finals of the Premier Greyhound Racing Puppy Derby back in March on just his third career start. He has not been seen in race action since fracturing a shoulder in April. Trials at Swindon, Dunstall Park and Hove have seen him building towards a comeback, clocking 27.90 at Dunstall in the most recent of those.
