Good reports from March On Freddie's early stud career
George Watson tells us that March On Freddie has made an excellent start to his life at stud with Sean Bourke at Newpark.

Good reports at stud for March On Freddie
March On Freddie is making his name at stud after a stellar career - with a return to the track not ruled out.
Currently standing with Sean Bourke at Newpark Stud, the David Mullins-trained and George Watson-owned star has mated a number of bitches already and is due to return to the UK in the new year.
Owner George Watson said: “I’ve had some good reports from Sean and it’s great he can make his mark as such in Ireland. His profile on the track was superb and, of course, his breeding is second to none.
“It really has been an amazing litter.”
A September 2022 son of Dorotas Wildcat and Seaglass Shadow, March On Freddie is a brother of 2024 BoyleSports Irish Derby champion Bockos Diamond and other winners Brindle Bully, a kennelmate of March On Freddie’s with David Mullins, and Aero Pattika.
“And he’s actually top-rated of the four with Greyhound Data which is something,” added Watson.
Winner of the 2024 JenningsBet Puppy Classic at Nottingham, March On Freddie then travelled to Ireland to reach the semi-finals of the Irish Derby at Shelbourne that year.
A fast-finishing second to Proper Heiress in this year’s Arc Kent Plate at Central Park, March On Freddie made the quarter-finalist of the Star Sports English Greyhound Derby before returning on final night for a popular success.
“That was a special night and we raised the roof!” recalled Watson. “It certainly went some way for going out in the quarters."
On his star’s resuming his racing career, Watson added: “We’ll see how he is and take it from there, but it’s great to get him ‘out there’ as such as a stud dog.
“He’s been - and hopefully still is - one of the best around. Remember he also broke the 500m record at Nottingham. He did 29.00sec as a pup to do the clock and the track’s since been regraded and is quicker now, sometimes as much as +60.
“I do have some straws for British breeders should they want, however. They’re with UK Clone close to Gatwick, but as mentioned he will be back in the UK down the line.”
