*** Coologue Pest - 7.24 Monmore 5/4
** Catchem Boyo - 7.39 Monmore 11/4
* Burrow Nitro - 8.19 Newcastle 7/2
Despite becoming a veteran in July, Coologue Pest has shown no signs of slowing down. He has won four of his six starts since moving back up to four bends from sprinting, finishing second in the other pair. He loves the red jacket and should be away and gone at this level, with his early gears standing him in good stead.
Catchem Boyo is a nice pup for Kim Billingham-Hine, a semi-finalist in the recent KAB Puppy Collar at Oxford. He was picked up late by the re-opposing Ivy Hill Viper in an open race before getting an A1 win here last time out. He has progressed well up the graded ladder here and the early pace is to his outside, which should allow him to take control of those inside of him early on.
The 8.19 at Newcastle tonight is an interesting A2 contest where Burrow Nitro makes plenty of appeal. She has a couple of relative newcomers to this track to her inside, one of those being a nice Feb 24 pup in Kerabellec Ella but the selections experience around here could be the difference. She clocked 28.87 when winning in this grade from the same trap last month and a repeat of that would make her the one they have to beat.
