166 Star Sports and Orchestrate Ltd. English Greyhound Derby entries
The entries are now closed for the 2026 Star Sports and Orchestrate Ltd English Greyhound Derby with 166 paying the £250 for a spot in the Classic

Derby entries hit 166 in total
Towcester has announced that 166 entries have been made for the Derby. The deadline was 7pm this evening (Monday) with a late surge to hit those numbers.
The draw is set to be made at noon on Friday at the track which will be shown live. The racing office will have a chance between now and then to ensure that all runners are fully eligible before that is made.
A spokesperson for the track said: "Everyone at the track is looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic Star Sports & Orchestrate Ltd. English Greyhound Derby.
"It’s been a busy few weeks leading up to the closing date with trials, but it’s been pleasing to hear so many positive comments from trainers who have been in recent weeks from both the UK and Ireland about how good the condition of the track is and the improvements made round the stadium itself.
"It would have been nice to see Droopys Plunge looking to defend his title and the injury sustained by Santas Amigo on Sunday has put a dampener on things, but hopefully we are all set for some cracking action over the next six weeks and we can showcase the best our sport has to offer."
The Star Sports & Orchestrate Ltd. English Greyhound Derby begins on Thursday, April 30 and the first round will take place across three nights from Thursday to Saturday (April 30-May 2).
Won last year by the Patrick Janssens-trained Droopys Plunge, the 500m premier Classic will be supported by a host of competitions across varying distances - with the TV Trophy among those.
Heats of the Category One marathon showpiece over 942m take place on May 9 with the £12,500 final on May 16.
The second round of the Star Sports & Orchestrate Ltd. English Greyhound Derby takes place across Friday and Saturday (May 8-9), with the third round on Saturday, May 16, the quarter-finals on Saturday, May 23, the semi-finals on Saturday, May 30, and the final and supporting gala on Saturday, June 6.
The traditional Star Sports & Orchestrate Ltd. English Greyhound Derby lunch takes place at Towcester on June 1.
