Following on from the second-round heats let’s take a look at the outright market ahead of the semi-finals that take place on Saturday, September 13.

The Patrick Janssens-trained pair Romeo Ability and Romeo Alliance head the market at 10/11 and 13/8 with Eagles Respect next in at 7s.

In the second-round heats Romeo Ability trapped well and led round and went onto record 27.84 with kennelmate Romeo Alliance chasing him home. Elsewhere, we saw wins for Izzys Tenpin in 28.46 and Malcolm Bosh in 28.44. Eagles Respect produced a power packed finish to take the fourth and final second round heats with Signet Nayla finishing second and Dreamin Ringo in third.

Malcolm Bush is on offer at a 33s with Betfred, the Angie Kibble-trained runner is only 20s with bet365, Ladbrokes and Coral.

The semi-finals of the Category One competition will take place on Saturday, September 13 with the final a week later with £10,000 up for grabs.
