A Bubbly pair of winners for Young to kick off The Box Seat
Paul Young opened up the Box Seat at Romford with a pair of winners form the four open races on offer.

Young with a Romford pair
The first night of The Box Seat on Sky Sports Racing saw four opens at Romford, with Paul Young picking up two of the winners. Bubbly Crusader was the class act, quickly getting himself on top in a 400m contest, riding a bump at the opening bend, before going on to score with plenty in hand having kicked away down the back.
The sprint race on the card went to Bubbly Fury, springing a bit of a surprise for punters at 12/1. He looked to be fighting a losing battle in third heading into the opening bend but he held his line firm on the inside which stopped the pair ahead of him getting around clean. Once he hit the front, there was no time for his rivals to recover.
Perhaps the best performance of the night came in the stayers event which Paul Burr took with Roxys Sunshine. She was outrapped by Geneva Betsy, having to check up at the opening bend as that rival took the ground that she wanted on the inside. Having worked her way back to close quarters by the fifth bend, she outstayed that rival on the run-in, getting up late to score.
Dave Lee took the other open on the card with Lil Bo Peep. She looked to have a beautiful draw to start from but she had to work hard to stop Burr from also claiming a double with his Bacon Burrger out in front and setting the fractions. The winner has not always looked the strongest over 400m herself, so she deserves plenty of credit for battling her way to the front where it mattered.
