A select five so far for Nottingham with entries closing tomorrow
Friday lunchtime will see the closure of nominations for the 2026 Select Stakes which will be run at Nottingham on Monday, August 31. There were five with 24 hours left to go.

Select Stakes closes tomorrow
A host of major winners are lining up for places in the Arena Racing Company Select Stakes, the prestigious one-off at Nottingham on August 31.
By lunchtime today (Thursday), the Colwick Park track had received five entries for the famous race with No Better Feelin (Rls), Ballymac Ralf (Rls), Tiffield Tarquin (W), Underground Gold (Rls) and Strike It Skye (Rls) all entered.
Wicky Ned, last year's winner and the 2024 Greyhound of the Year, is booked into trial on Monday, as is Strike It Skye.
Nottingham has advised trainers that any required trials will be accommodated on Monday with kennelling at 4.15pm.
Both the £12,500-to-the-winner Select Stakes and £2,500 Arena Racing Company Select Stayers close at 1pm on Friday. To date, two entries have been made for the Select Stayers in Malcolm Bosh and Droopys Rated. The latter, the TV Trophy champion, is also due to trial on Monday.
Nottingham also reminds trainers that Category Three supporting competitions are also being held, with heats on Monday and finals also on Bank Holiday Monday (August 31) over 305m, 500m and 680m.
These close at 11am tomorrow.
