Ante-Post Market Movers- De Lahdedah slashed in Ante-Post betting after sensational first round performance

After a number impressive performances on the second night of the 2025 StarSports/TRC Greyhound Derby, there have been several market movers in the Ante-Post betting for outright success

2024 StarSports/TRC Greyhound Derby winner De Lahdedah advertised his claims to land back-to-back Derby’s in this year’s renewal with a stunning 28.50 victory last night and as a result, is now as short as 10/1 to defend his title. Now generally a 12/1 shot, the reigning champion had been available at 33/1 this time yesterday with Bet365 and Skybet.

The biggest market move however has seen Phil Milner’s Keefill Goose, who made all the running in 28.90, being slashed from yesterday mornings odds of 200/1 with Skybet, Bet Victor and Unibet, into a general 66/1, though the sponsors StarSports are a best priced 80/1 along with William Hill, Unibet and AK Bets.

Most of the market moves centre around Greyhounds who many people may have fancied as a solid each way selection before the start of the Derby, the type that will go a few rounds or likely to keep on qualifying.

Patrick Janssens’s Romeo Empire falls into that category for sure. He has been quietly fancied by plenty of people who took the 66/1 and on the back of his come from behind victory, he is now as low as 33/1 in the betting though is still 40/1 generally

Paul Hennessy’s Dynamic Force is another whose have dramatically shortened after an impressive 28.86 all the way success and he has been cut into as low as 25/1 with BoyleSports though is still available at 40/1 with Paddy Power, Bet Victor, Betway and Skybet, who along with Bet365, were 100/1 yesterday morning.

Graham Holland has enjoyed a good start to this year’s Derby, firing in another couple of winners last night courtesy of Faypoint Harvey and Faypoint Susie, recording 28.99 and 29.05 respectively and have shortened in the betting as a result. Harvey is now as low as 33/1 but still generally available at 40/1 having been 100/1 with Bet365 and Paddy Power yesterday morning. Susie, who had been a best price of 125/1 yesterday morning with Paddy Power is as low as 33/1 with William Hill, but is generally 50/1, though the standout 80/1 with Betway wouldn’t be on offer long you would imagine

Slingshot Sam, who made all the running in the final heat last night for trainer Brian Fairbairn in 29.05 is another who has shortened in the betting, having been available at 200/1 yesterday, he has been cut into a best priced 125/1 with StarSports.

But it’s not just the heat winners that have seen market support, with a couple of runners catching the eye in defeat who have been cut for outright success.

Pat Buckley’s Singalong Molly, who finished runner up behind Keefill Goose is now as low as 50/1, but is available at 80/1 with StarSports having been as big as 125/1 yesterday, Esther Driver’s runner up Hopes Ompalooma, behind kennelmate No Better Feelin is as short as 66/1 with SkyBet though 125/1 is available with Bet365, having been 200/1 in the morning.

Elsewhere in the betting, there has been continued support for Graham Holland’s impressive Thursday night winner Cheap Sandwiches, who is now a clear second favourite for outright success trading as low as 6/1, though he is still a best priced 8/1 with AK Bets, and 17/2 with StarSports.
