BetGoodwin Pall Mall final at Oxford

Tomorrow evening, the £10,000 to the winner Category One BetGoodwin Pall Mall final takes centre stage at Oxford over the four-bend 450 metre trip.

Speaking to sponsors BetGoodwin this morning, MD Julian Head had this to say: “The BetGoodwin Pall Mall takes place tomorrow and what a fantastic race we have to look forward to. Rioja Oisin is the rightful favourite but must miss both Crossfield Enzo and Union Rebel who both show incredible early pace. I feel whoever turns in front will take home the first prize.’’

The competition sponsors have Rioja Oisin in as the 10/11 favourite with Crossfield Enzo at 9/4, Union Rebel is 7s with Gingers Prince at 8s. Of those at bigger prices, Paradise Sky is available at 16s with Madabout Peck the outsider of the field at 20s. BetGoodwin are offering Best Odds Guaranteed and each way terms of ¼ odds 1-2 in the final.

Gingers Prince - Returned to action earlier this month following a lengthy layoff and is a credit to the kennel and team around him.

Third in the first round and then second in the semi-final, can Gingers Prince take the £10,000 prize money back to Hove on Saturday evening?

Paradise Sky - Like Gingers Prince, Paradise Sky is yet to win in the competition but she's not without a chance in the final. The September 2022 daughter of Dromana Bucko is yet to ping the lids at the BetGoodwin Oxford Stadium, if she brings her trapping boots tomorrow the 16s on offer from the sponsors will look huge value.

Crossfield Enzo - Caught late on in the first-round heats Enzo went one better next time out with a quick-away-made all success in the semi-finals recording 26.35. A repeat of that would put him bang there tomorrow evening.

Rioja Oisin - Recent Kent Silver Salver winner Oisin booked his pace in the final with an emphatic three length win in the semi-finals making all clocking 26.33 following a blistering 3.86 sectional. All eyes will be on the break in the final, can the Kevin Hutton-trained middle seed pings the lids again?

Madabout Peck - Newcastle raider Peck has some flying form around Sunderland and Romford. If he pops out he will be heading rails-middle and would have every chance on the bunny. 20s with the sponsors could tempt a few in.

Union Rebel - Following a layoff Rebel returned to action in the first-round and made all in 26.91. Next time out in the semi-finals the Kevin Hutton-trained middle seed took a step forward and clocked 26.55. Further improvement is possible and with a nice draw to work from the 7s looks solid value.

The BetGoodwin Oxford Stadium will host a supporting card featuring five opens including the Stayers at 7.51, which will see Pall Mall semi-finalist Antigua Kestral step back up to the six-bend 650-metre trip at the Cowley venue, Oxford.

Elsewhere, on the card look out for Start The Engine in the BetGoodwin Oxford Standard open race at 8.09. The Kevin Hutton-trained May 2023 son of Ballymac Cashout has won eight from nine over course and distance and wil surely go close tomorrow evening if he brings his trapping boots.

Tickets are available via the Oxford Greyhound Stadium website.
