Betting Update – Arena Racing Company Kent Silver Salver and Time Greyhound Nutrition 3 Steps To Victory

Following the semi-finals of the ARC Silver Salver and the first-round heats of the Time Greyhound Nutrition 3 Steps To Victory, let's take a look at how the betting markets have moved.

The Silver Salver semi-finals on Saturday evening saw odds-on favourites Rioja Oisin and Ballinakill Liam both beaten, but as ever, qualification is the name of the game, and both are safely through to this Saturday's final. There was a shock in the third and final semi-final when the Maxine Locke-trained Romford raider Beaming Isla popped out and made all in 16.26. She was available at 12/1 for the heat during the day (10/1 sp) and was a huge 100/1 for outright honours, those fancy prices have now long gone.

The final takes place on Saturday evening with tickets available via the Central Park Greyhound stadium website.

Best prices:

T1. Beaming Isla 12/1 (Ladbrokes and Coral)

T2. Rioja Oisin 5/2 (bet365, Ladbrokes and Coral)

T3. Pavillion Team 8/1 (Ladbrokes and Coral)

T4. King Jackson 11/2 (Ladbrokes and Coral)

T5. King Presley 7/2 (bet365)

T6. Ballinakill Liam 5/2 (bet365)

Time Greyhound Nutrition 3 Steps To Victory Betting Update

Over at Sheffield, the unique tri-distance Time Greyhound Nutrition 3 Steps To Victory heats took centre stage on Sunday afternoon. The first-round heats run over the four-bend 480-metre trip were won by The Other Boss (27.62), Very Elegant (27.73), Kilmore Dancer (27.49), Clodar Rosie (27.65), Carrick Fergie (27.38) and finally Clems Bear in 27.49. The competition now moves onto the four-bend 500-metre distance on Sunday for the semi-finals, with the final a week later over the six-bend 660-metre trip.

Tickets for the semi-finals and final can be purchased from the Sheffield Greyhound Stadium website.

There is plenty for punters to get stuck into here with bet365 and Ladbrokes taking different opinions.

For example, ante-post favourite Wicky Ned is 3/1 with Ladbrokes and Coral, yet he's available at 4/1 with bet365. Table Toppers is only 8/1 with Ladbrokes and bet365 offer 12/1 about the Mark Wallis-trained railer. Chelms Bear impressed in the first round when showing huge back straight pace, he's got a cracking draw in the semi-finals in the first heat at 4.42 and the 5/1 on offer with Ladbrokes and Coral could look value come Sunday evening.

Trainers of the semi-finalists will be eligible for a second kenneling at 2.45pm, and opens are advertised to support the main competition at Owlerton Stadium.

Best prices:

Wicky Ned 4/1 (bet365)

Chelms Bear 5/1 (Ladbrokes and Coral)

Kilmore Dancer 6/1 (Ladbrokes and Coral)

Carrick Fergie 5/1 (bet365, Ladbrokes and Coral)

The Other Boss 10/1 (Ladbrokes and Coral)

Table Toppers 12/1 (bet365)
