Betting Update – Coral Coronation Cup and Time Greyhound Nutrition 3 Steps To Victory
Following on from the semi-finals in both competitions, let’s take a look at the betting markets ahead of the finals.
The Coronation Cup semi-finals took place last Friday and there were plenty of shocks, with New Destiny, Radical Scoby, Mad For Sterling and Avongate Venus all eliminated. The final takes place on Friday evening with the £10,000 final taking place at 9.11 over the six-bend 575-metre trip at the London Road venue.
The Mark Wallis-trained railer Fabulous Sonique is a best-priced 4/6 favourite with ½ on offer from bet365. If she gets it right at the boxes and leads round and repeats the flying 34.98 from the semi-finals, she will prove hard to beat. Teddie has the inside line on the favourite and could attract support at the current odds. Cree Bono won well in the semi-finals and looks overpriced at 12/1, that's likely to go during the week.
Best prices:
T1. Cree Bono 12/1 (Ladbrokes and Coral)
T2. Jades Rocket 12/1 (Ladbrokes and Coral)
T3. Teddie 9/2 (Bresbet)
T4. Fabulous Sonique 4/6 (Ladbrokes and Coral)
T5. Golden Palace 8/1 (bet365, William Hill, Ladbrokes and Coral)
T6. Whitewood Libre 22/1 (Bresbet)
George Day from Coral had this to say about the final: "Fabulous Sonique looks the one to beat in the final at 4/6 after the semis that provided many shock results with the top 4 in the betting all failing to qualify. Teddie with a good draw has seen some support for the final at 7/2 but overall looks like a good book overall for Coral. We suspect that money could come in for Sonique on the day so will be looking to get her beat.
Speaking to Jessica Day from Romford stadium, she said: “We’re all very excited about the Coral Coronation Cup Final taking place on Friday 4th July 2025. Our doors open at 6pm, we have availability in both our trackside restaurants as it stands, but if anyone wants to book, they need to get in quick!
The Paddock is a three-course meal with a view over the winning line; the Pavilion is a three-course carvery featuring a private terrace for diners located on the third bend. We also have a Party Pack deal for just £14pp which includes admission, racecard, one snack bar meal, one drink and a return admission plus a racecard voucher.

Tickets for the final can be purchased direct from the Sheffield Greyhound Stadium website.
Best prices:
T1. Chelms Bear 13/8 (Skybet and Paddy Power)
T2. Carrick Fergie 7/1 (Bresbet)
T3. Kilmore Dancer7/1 (Bresbet)
T4. Droopys Extragud 16/1 (Bresbet)
T5. Arthur Job 25/1 (bet365 and William Hill)
T6. Wicky Ned 13/8 (Skybet and Paddy Power)
Lots of interesting betting angles here. Will Wicky Ned stay? He was strong to the drop over 500 metres but is untested over six-bends. Chelms Bear looks well-drawn to turn in a pitch but is priced accordingly. He was available at 5/1 for outright honours before the semi-finals. At fancy prices Carrick Fergie, Kilmore Dancer, Droopys Extragud and Arthur Job are all in with a shout. This is an ultra-competitive race and all are in with a chance of lifting the trophy and take home the £10,000 prize money.
