BGBF TRUFRAME CHAMPION STAKES FINAL
We look ahead to the Bgbf Truframe Champion Stakes Final at Towcester.
Best prices – Romeo Steel 5/4, Keefill Goose 4/1, Fabulous Livia 6/1, Queen Shakira 13/2, Fabulous Sonique 13/2, Spiridon Zelus 33/1.
The Bgbf Truframe Champion Stakes final takes place on Saturday evening at 9.39 with the winner taking home the £3000 prize.
The first round heats took place on June 1 with the semi-finals last Saturday live on Gone To The Dogs YouTube channel. The semi-finals went to Romeo Steel in 28.81 and Fabulous Livia in 29.06. Romeo Steel went even faster in the first round clocking 28.72 following a blistering 3.97 sectional, an exceptional run.
All eyes on the break. Five railers line up along with one wide seed as they look to land the £3000 prize money.
Keefill Goose (T1) from the Philip Milner kennel looks well-drawn on the rails. During the first round heats Keefill Goose broke well and made all recording 28.92, a repeat of that run would put him in the mix on Saturday evening. The 4/1 on offer could tempt a few in.
Romeo Steel (T2) from the Patrick Janssens kennel is a worthy favourite and is the one they all have to beat. The August 22 son of Ballymac Cashout will be looking to ping out and grab the rails and make all. He can’t afford a tardy exit with Keefill Goose on his inside.
Queen Shakira (T3) from the Liz McNair kennel starts and stays, if she were to pop out the 13/2 on offer would look huge value. All eyes on the break for backers of this December 21 daughter of Droopys Sydney.
Fabulous Livia (T4) currently priced up at 6/1 will be looking to make all from this middle draw. She has previously dipped below four seconds over this trip at the boxes, a similar smash start will put her right in the mix here.
Fabulous Sonique (T5) is a versatile four-bend and six-bend performer. Drawn a little wider than ideal here but has a chance if she comes away from T5.
Spiridon Zelus (T6) is plotted up as the solo wide seed in the race. He's got a bit to find on the clock but at 33's some may be tempted in to back the Heather Dimmock-trained son of Pestana.
Good luck to all owners, connections and trainers with runners in the Bgbf Truframe Champion Stakes Final at Towcester on Saturday evening.
