Bird About Town was the top lot at Greyhound Trader’s sales at Yarmouth on Thursday,

The February 2024 daughter of Grangeview Ten and Florence Cake posted a 28.35 trial and fetched £7200 at the auction.

Her little sister Backing It Up recorded 28.40 earlier in the day and went for £6100, while Put Things Right (29.00). Travel Safe (29.02) and Infortherun (28.69) from the same litter were sold for £2600, £2500 and £4600 respectively.

They weren’t the quickest, though, as that honour went to Epic Elsa, a September 2023 bitch who was sold for £5200 following her 28.25 run and has joined the kennel of Nathan Hunt. 

Swift Kev went round in 28.38 workout and reached a selling price of £2500.
