Buck odds-on for semi-final one

Droopys Buck, the fastest of last week's heat winners and one of three winners in the first round for Craig Morris, is an 8-11 chance with the Entain firms for the first semi-final of the Click Competitions 80th East Anglian Derby at Yarmouth on Wednesday.

Three semi-finals of the £15,000-to-the-winner Category One over 462m headline another strong card at the seaside venue live on Premier Greyhound Racing with heats of the Veliost Ltd Puppy Trophy (462m) and MWD Partnership Sprint (277m) also taking place.

Droopys Buck takes on, among others, Romeo Ability in the first semi with the latter still eyeing a third straight win in the event for Patrick Janssens

The Savva Roberts-trained Bockos Buster, a Yarmouth Derby finalist last year for Kevin Boon, is 11-8 favourite with Ladbrokes and Coral for the second semi, while John Mullins's recently returned Aayamza Shazza shades another Craig Morris runner Flashing Fender in the betting for the third semi.

Coral/Ladbrokes betting on the Yarmouth Derby semis:

First semi (7.56) 8-11 Droopys Buck, 5-2 Romeo Ability, 6 Laugh Alot, 12 True Trend, Charlie Loves Me, 16 Roanna Sharp.

Second semi: 11-8 Bockos Buster, 4 Strathrannoch, 5 Montana Tiger, 11-2 Backing It Up, 6 Bockos Waka Waka, 7 Move Over Toby.

Third semi: 15-8 Aayamza Shazza, 2 Flashing Fender, 7-2 Hasselbomb, 4 Zari Aki, 16 Heres Ringo, 20 My Name Siddy.
