Trial at Central Park catch the eye on Monday
Central Park is building up to the Arena Racing Company Kent Plate - and notable trials there on Monday suggest the event will be a cracker.
The Patrick Janssens-trained Kent Derby champion Romeo Tomcat led the way with a 16.26 solo spin over the 277m trip and was joined by kennelmates Slick Sentinel and Droopys Graph at a lively session at the Sittingbourne venue.
Slick Sentinel led over another Janssens runner Fabulous Heka, last year’s Select Stayers winner, by six and a quarter lengths in a slick 29.13 for the 491m trip, a time matched by Droopys Graph in a solo spin.
Won last year by Proper Heiress, the Kent Plate closes to entries on Tuesday, March 10, with the opening round kicking off on Saturday, March 14. The £12,500 to the winner final will be on Saturday, March 28.
