Yarmouth promoter Simon Franklin has confirmed that online raffle site Click Competitions are to sponsor the 79th East Anglian Derby, marking another significant milestone in greyhound derby news for the 2024 racing calendar.

East Anglian Derby Prize Money and Format Confirmed

The 36-runner event will once again be worth £15,000 to the winner, with £3,000 to the runner-up, £2,000 to the third and £1,000 to the other finalists. This substantial prize fund continues to establish the East Anglian Derby as one of the premier events in the greyhound racing calendar.

The competition will take place on consecutive Wednesdays, starting on 3rd September, with semi-finals on 10th September and the final on 17th September. This format allows for optimal preparation time between rounds and ensures the highest quality of racing throughout the competition.

Promoter Welcomes Return of Click Competitions

Franklin said: "We are delighted to welcome back Click and things should be very much the same as last year. We will be running our supporting competitions, though the level of prize money is subject to any potential sponsorship."
