A pair of Category Two events start at Dunstall Park on Saturday night with four heats of the British Bred Puppy Cup and the Arc Stayers Trophy. Prices are the best on the market at time of writing.

British Bred Puppy Cup

The ante-post market for the British Bred Puppy Cup suggests that there's a big gulf between those at the head of the market and the outsiders. It will certainly bring interesting on Saturday night to see if that is true on the track.

The market is liable to get a shake up as three of the top five in the market all go in the third heat of the night with Keefill Mo, Romeo Astron and Keefill Sequoia lock horns from the inside three traps. In theory, they should all qualify but the results will see some big changes ahead of the semis, so anyone with strong opinions will be looking to get on the outright prices early.

Of those at the bigger prices, Rose Draper's Harton Whirlwind was a Gymcrack finalist so is plenty classy enough, for all that this might not be a stiff enough track at the trip for him. Despite that, his Category One form entitles him to respect here.

3/1 Keefill Sequoia

7/2 Romeo Astron

5/1 Keefill Teak

7/1 Keefill Mo

8/1 Ballycian Boy

20/1 Fabulous Martini, Harton Whirlwind

25/1 The Rising Sun

33/1 Aero Irruption, Feathers McGraw,

50/1 Untold Dinero

66/1 Aero Daisy, Aero Noduff, Mohican Bale. Ontherun Jamie

80/1 Bonville Kane, Crystal Camilla, Mohican Hallie

100/1 Mohican Ruby

125/1 Aero Maisie, Eagles Ebz, Four Assassins

200/1 Crystal Freya, Crystal Zeus

Arc Stayers Trophy

The stayers competition sees current Central Park 664m track record holder Bluejig Outlaw command the market share. The 660m trip is being used here but it will still give a few early clues to the 715m Premier Greyhound Racing St Leger which comes up at the Wolverhampton venue in September.

One who could be of interest at a price is Newinn Jolly. Maxine Locke's bitch has shown all sorts of pace when she has been able to get herself a clear run but that has happened on far too few occasions over four bends. It is a big ask for her to take on some known stayers but she could be of interest against potentially slower to stride dogs.

7/4 Bluejig Outlaw

5/1 Eagles Respect

6/1 Savanaregimental

8/1 Venetian Mick

10/1 The Other Winx

16/1 Droopys Scratch

20/1 Greenwell Gypsy

25/1 Aero Boris, Newinn Jolly

33/1 Thats Us Now

40/1 Bandit Paddy, Heres Ringo, Kiltealy

50/1 Droopys Maximus, Malcolm Bosh, Onceina Lifetime,

66/1 Drombeg Abby, Gruszka, Saqqara

100/1 Kilwest Beauty, Ragdoll Roșie, Savanacatenango, Savana Mongys, Seomra Ophelia
