Following on from a thrilling night's action, we now have the semi-final draws and the betting markets have had a chance to settle. Let’s take a look at the outright market from sponsor Coral:
Magical Luka 1/4, Crafty Santino 10, Vermithor 12, Jacktavern Don 20, Droopys Alldeway 20, Ted On Fire 20, Aero Najem 22, Tasty Turkish 28, Jazzy George 33, Stormy Pat 33, March On Luna 40, Bowmers Sheeran 40, Underground Fizz 50, Feeling The Love 66, Scooby Diamond 66, Blackburnbullet 80, Bluey Bullet 80, Droopys Tiffany 125.
Speaking to George Smith from Coral, he had this to say about the Coral Romford Puppy Cup: “It looks like only Magical Luka could possibly beat himself in the Puppy Cup after equaling the track record on Friday, now at 1/4 to win the comp, it looks like the others will be playing for places.

Speaking about the first round, Smith went onto say: “Only two winning favourites on the card made it a good night for Coral with Ted On Fire opening the comp in good style and was liked by the punters going second fastest of the heats in 23.84 and was followed up by Bowmers Sheeran and Aero Najem also going under the 24-second barrier but nothing came close to the performance of Magical Luka clocking 23.26, equaling Roxholme Nidge’s long-standing track record. Crafty Santino caught the eye only losing half a length to Blackburnybullet after a costly stumble out the traps that looked to even cost him qualifying.
George Smith from Coral added: “A fairly quiet ante post book with the short price of Luka, but many still took the 1/2 available to boost multis elsewhere. In the first semi-final, Magical Luka is priced at 2/13 with the others looking for the second qualifying spot. The other semis are more open, with 5/2 3-way joint favourite in the second semi and 11/8 fav Crafty Santino in the last. We expect the markets to liven up on Friday.’’
The Kevin Hutton-trained flying machine Magical Luka is clearly the one they all have to beat. Speaking on www.kevinhuttonracing.com, Hutton said: “Once again, he flew the lids and ran right away from his rivals to win by just over 8 lengths in a track record-equalling time of 23.26.
“You’d have to say the 400m Romford record is one of the strongest in the sport, so to have a pup equal it really was something very special.
“Thankfully, Luka has taken his race very well and will be in good shape come Friday's semi-final.”
