Denby with a Nottingham double as The Other Kodi scores again
Nottingham formed the open race action on Monday night with The Other Kodi winning once more for Barry Denby as part of a double for the local trainer.

The Kodi show again at Nottingham
The Other Kodi made it a perfect 4/4 in October, rounding out his perfect month in style for Barry Denby with another attacking, all-the-way success over 500m. He is now 14/18 at the track, with his only defeat in his last 11 coming over two bends at the paws of Good Acclaim. Much better rivals will come to town next month for the Premier Greyhound Racing Eclipse, but he deserves his chance to take them on.
Denby's other winner came from Skeard Daisy May who kicked off 2026 brightly but has had plenty of gaps on her card since. She didn't really take to a return to Dunstall Park in a pair of starts there but back on her home sand and she put her head in front going into the opening bend and quickly went beyond recall. This was win number seven in her 13th Nottingham contest.
Kelly Wilton had the winner of the Maiden 480m final as Aegean Song continued her hot spell. She had got up late on to beat Shezatwister in the heats last week from a draw inside of that rival but smashed the lids down drawn outside to make all of the running to bolt up by six and a half lengths. Her 28.30 is the sixth quickest time of the year so far over the distance.
Star Sports Welsh Derby finalist Sawpit Signature shrugged off the lack of a look around for David Hunt to land the other four-bend contest on the night. He paced up well to grab the lead going into the opening turn and that was a help for him to learn the track on the bunny. Still a puppy for a few more days, he also has a Monmore open to his credit and looks a nice type for next year.
There were two sprints with the winning times split by just a few spots. Ballymac Gian was just the quicker of the pair for Esther Driver, back to winning ways after a slightly disappointing run last week, having been so spectacular a fortnight ago. He's only a March 25 pup, so is entitled to a bit of inconsistency, showing a good attitude to get up late on after blowing the start and stumbling a little at the opening bend. .
Carol Weatherall took the other one with Shes Gone who had clocked a smart 15.81 in a Towcester D1 in her prior outing. It was six months since her only other look around the venue but she didn't show too much in the way of rustiness, powering home once she had got to the lead at the bend.
