The wonderfully named Dominoh Hoo Hoo, who has given commentators no end of problems in trying to decide how emphatically they should announce the Hoo Hoo part during their commentaries, has unfortunately been retired due to an injury picked up at Star Pelaw on Sunday night
Dominoh Hoo Hoo only had the eleven races for trainer Tom Heilbron, but managed three victories in that time. She also reached the semi finals of the Bresbet Gymcrack at Sheffield in April before finishing third in the final of the Arena Racing Company Angel Of The North Final at Newcastle in July, only being beaten by a length by Skeard Josie having led for most of the way until being reeled in on the run for home.
Owner Ben Collins took to social media X to confirm the news, and paid tribute to the Vet on duty at Star Pelaw on Sunday, and to the Injury Recovery Scheme put in place by the GBGB as part of welfare practices put in place.
Collins was also hopeful that “Dotty” would also have a career in the breeding paddocks in time due to her own breeding, but for the time being, she will be resting up before enjoying life on his sofa
