Dundalk Trial for Droopys Kathleen
Droopys Kathleen continued her return from seasonal rest with a sprint trial at Dundalk on Saturday evening.
The May 2023 daughter of Droopys Sydney and Droopys Dancer is unbeaten in five starts and made headlines when setting new figures for the 525-yard distance at Shelbourne Park, winning her Puppy Oaks semi-final in a stunning 27.58.
Trained by Robert Gleeson, Droopys Kathleen posted 21.15 over the 400-yard trip in her Dundalk trial. It is expected that she will have a four-bend workout next as her preparation continues.
She hasn’t raced since November, but all signs point toward a return in the Boylesports Irish Greyhound Derby, which begins on Friday, August 22.
