Dunstall Park announce a new sprint competition to accompany the Laurels
There will be a brand new Category Two sprint event named the Dunstall Dash at Dunstall Park which will be run at the same time as the Laurels.

New sprint to run alongside the Laurels
The Dunstall Dash will be a brand new event at greyhound racing's newest venue, Dunstall Park.
Run alongside the Arc Laurels, the 270m Category Two event will begin with heats on Saturday, March 28, with the semis on Good Friday (April 3) and the final - part of a major big-race double-header at Wolverhampton Racecourse, on Saturday, April 11.
"Running the Arc Scurry Gold Cup alongside the PGR Oaks here last October worked well, so having the Dunstall Dash supporting the Laurels is certainly something we were keen to see," said racing manager Martin Seal.
"Having two competitions side by side worked for us also at Perry Barr, and other tracks seem to be doing the same, and it was just a case of thinking about what type of event would work best.
"And really there's not a huge amount for sprinters at that time of the year. We have the Scurry Gold Cup later in the year, the Silver Salver has a June slot at Central Park and Nottingham has the National Sprint in December.
"Oxford also has a new event in May, but this looks an ideal time of the year to get something going for the sprinters, and hopefully we're doing that."
*ENTRIES for both the Arena Racing Company Laurels (480m), a Category One event, and the Dunstall Dash, a Category Two, close at 11am on Tuesday, March 24.
