Evans doubles up at Romford while Sunnyside Broxi returns to winning ways at Sunderland
There was open racing at Romford and Sunderland on Friday night.

Evans with a Romford double
Friday night saw plenty of trainers pick up open race winners, both at Romford and Sunderland. In 16 opens across the two tracks, Gemma Evans was the only trainer to grab a pair of winners.
There are three weeks to go until the opening round of the Coronation Cup and it was the 575m distance where Evans saw Dower Duchess an impressive 35.11 scorer. It was her fourth win in her last eight starts over Romford's six-bend trip. The double was started with Kohinoor Silky picking up her first open race win since joining the kennel from Nathan Hunt.
Speaking of Hunt, his Dreamin Faith continues to dominate the sprint scene at the track, winning for the third straight week on a Friday night. Droopys Prefect was another smart 575m winner on the card. Maxine Locke's charge went just two spots slower than Dower Duchess off a blistering 13.38 split.
The other 575m contest on the night went to Teddie in 35.72. She pitched on her nose out the boxes and looked a little lost on the bends on her first try on a sharp track. The amount of time she lost suggests that Belinda Green's smart runner will be a major player over the track and trip this year.
Gothic Kitty won the eight-bend race for Michelle Brown. It was her first time going beyond 575m, running riot by almost 11 lengths. Paul Burr's Yahoo Lolls produced the pick of the 400m times with a 24.11 success. Mucky Boreen was only two spots slower for Allison Kelly-Pilgrim. Sehnsa Amigo for David Mullins and Quinton Boy for Paul Young were the other two open race winners on the card.
Broxi quick to get over Derby exit
He was 1/8 to win his 640m contest at Sunderland last night and Ted Soppitt's Sunnyside Broxi ran riot to justify the prohibitive starting price by 11 lengths. It took him until halfway down the back straight on the second circuit to get himself on top before clearing away.
Lion Heart has enjoyed his visits to Sunderland this year, winning for the sixth time in 10 starts here for Carl Jackson. It was a third straight win for him, a 450m success last night after picking up a sprint win on his last racing visit.
The sprint on the card went to Yvonne Bell's Powerful Penny. She has hit a run of rude health this month, winning three of her five starts, runner-up in the other pair. It was her second open race success (her other in April) after a D2 and a D1 previously in May.
Mark Bulmer saw Fraser pick up a puppy contest in 27.29, the other heat of that going to Steadyon Marlene for Savva Roberts. Dean Blackbird had the other winner on the card with Gartcloss Tam who was a shock 14/1 winner.
