Eze scores as part of Kibble Swindon Open Race hat-trick

Whenever there is open racing at Swindon, the first port of call in the search of a winner would surely be to see if Angie Kibble has any runners on the card. With a win percentage in open racing this year of 23.07%, a tally which ranks in the top ten in the country, Kibble added three more winners last night at Swindon over the 476m distance.

The first of those winners arrived in the first open of the evening, where Newinn Bliss (8/13F) continued her outstanding form in 2025 when trapping well to make all the running again to cross the line in front by 2 ½ lengths in 28.26. That was her 9th victory in 12 starts this year, and her 6th win a row at Swindon. Her previous defeat at the track was on February 11 and even that was only by a short head.

The second arrived when Ballymac Loca (11/4) overcame a slow start, turning the opening bends in last before producing a power-packed burst rounding the final bends to reel in the leader Southfield Queen in the dying strides to score by a length in 28.63

Eze (3/1) secured the hat-trick when he too made all the running to score by 1 ¼ lengths in a time of 28.18, which was the fastest time of the evening over the 476m distance.

Frank Bryce also had a good evening at the track as he landed a double on the card. The first saw a winning return to Swindon for Dashing Dude (1/2F), who had last been seen at the track just before Christmas when setting a new track record for the 262m distance and has since finished runner up in the Greyhound Racing UK Northamptonshire Sprint Final at Towcester.

Having produced a slow start, those who backed the short-priced favourite could have been forgiven for thinking their chances were over but aided by some trouble up front on the run for home, he was able to swoop late to score by a short head in a slow 15.61.

His double arrived in the final open race of the evening over the six-bend distance of 682m, when his Baggios Dilemma, who looked to have a tricky looking draw out in trap five to work from, trapped well and got across to his favoured rails position round the opening bends and was always in control of this contest, winning by five lengths in a time of 41.63.

There were two other contests over the 476m distance which went the way of Patrick Godfrey and John Campbell. Godfrey gained victory when his Arthur Lobster (9/2) trapped well and made all the running for her first success in her seventh attempt to score in a time of 28.49 by two lengths, while Hard Done Boy (4/7F) had to overcome some early crowding round the opening bends before reeling in the long time leader Railwayclub Bob in the shadow of the post to score in a time of 28.60.
