Free Admission at Monmore on Thursday and Saturday evenings during October 

Monmore are offering free admission during October on Thursday and Saturday evenings. Simply turn up and enjoy a night at the dogs!

In recent months, Monmore have launched various initiatives with the Greyhound trading cards proving popular in July with all the profits going to the Greyhound Trust in Wolverhampton. Communications manager Joe Edwards took to X earlier this month to say more than £1100 had been raised with fewer than 50 packs of the trading cards still for sale. Great to see the Greyhound community getting behind this unique idea with plenty of money raised for the Wolverhampton Greyhound Trust.

During August, Monmore also offered free admission during National Greyhound Week, which was a roaring success for the Wolverhampton venue. Speaking to GNUK about National Greyhound Week, Joe said: “Greyhound racing is a great activity for all the family to enjoy. We’re always keen to support the event as much as possible, and we again offered free admission throughout the week.’’

There was also plenty of top-class action across August with the Category One Ladbrokes Summer Stayers Classic and Ladbrokes Gold Cup going to Vhagar and Headford Dane.

Looking ahead, there is open race action at Monmore on Thursday, September 11, Saturday, September 13, Saturday, September 20 and on the final Saturday of the month on the 27th, so get on down and support the track if you can. Experience at night at the dogs and get close to the action.

In October, Monmore will be offering racing fans the chance to experience the thrill of racing with free admission during the whole month.

Speaking to Monmore communications manager, Joe Edwards, he had this to say about the upcoming offers at Monmore: "We're delighted to be offering free general admission for our evening meetings on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout October. All racegoers need to do is simply turn up on the evening, and they will be granted admission into our general area, where they can grab a seat with great views of the track, get drinks from the bar, food from the snack bar and place bets with either our Tote staff or on-course bookmakers.

Talking about the opening of Dunstall Park, Joe added: “It's an exciting period with two tracks now being open in Wolverhampton, and we're keen to show what we have to offer at Monmore and reinforce the point that we're very much still here. Hopefully, we can attract some nice crowds who enjoy the racing and, fingers crossed, will keep coming back in the months to come."

Themed music nights will take place on Saturday, September 27 with Back to 80s Vol 2 taking centre stage. On Saturday, October 18, it's Back To Ibiza at Monmore Greyhound Stadium, while on Saturday, November 1, they will host a Halloween-themed DJ set.
