A sprint at Dunstall Park kicks off our tips where Kim Billingham-Hine's Newinn Souly makes plenty of appeal. He was deeply impressive when he won a one-off here on Oaks final night a week after landing the Guys And Dolls at Romford. Things didn't quite go to plan in the opening round of the Classic nor the National Sprint but with a much kinder draw than his main market rival, he can get back on the winning trail.
Chaddy Boy looks the pick of the Romford card this evening in a 575m maiden contest. This far might be at the top end of his stamina range at this point in his career but he has been keeping some very smart company at his home track of Central Park. He was a Kent Derby semi-finalist, and was last seen chasing home Ballymac Blanco and Gingers Prince. This is a step down in class compared to those efforts.
The 750m contest at Romford sees Rolo Rosie up to this trip for the first time. Given the way that she has been finishing off her races over 575m, it looks well worth trying. Her form is of a similar standard to Whitewood Libre over six bends here but that rival was a non stayer when trying this far in the past, so if going to have to go clear and hope for the best. Rosie can track around and can prove the stronger from the seventh bend.
