Friday's Greyhound Racing Tips - 16 October 2026
The semi-final stage of the Coral 100 Champion Stakes are the feature races on Friday evening at Romford where we have three tips for the card.
Friday's Tips
*** Blackstone Harry - 10.13 Romford
** Skidroe Lady - 7.53 Romford
* Grouches Gregor - 8.53 Romford
The final race of the evening at Romford contains the best bet on the card in the shape of Seamus Cahill's Blackstone Harry. He was brought down in the opening round of the Coral 100 Champion Stakes last Friday night, a competition that would have seen him very competitive outright on his 34.92 trial over track and trip. A smart performer over four and six bends, he can make amends this evening.
There should be a path to the lead on the run to the opening bend for Skidroe Lady this evening and that will be the battle won with her. The last time that she sported the blue jacket at this track she was a runaway winner over a solid yardstick in Bretons Girl, clocking 24.06. A repeat of that sort of run this evening is going to be too much for her rivals to handle.
The three semis of the Champion Stakes this evening are competitive affairs but the draw right on the rails can see things go the way of Grouchos Gregor in the final one of the three. The Ladbrokes Gold Cup runner-up has taken to the sharp six bends brilliantly well and he can take control of this contest early on from the red jacket.
