Friday's Greyhound Racing Tips - 17 April 2026
It is the final of the Arena Racing Company Grand Prix at Sunderland this evening. We have two tips for the card as well as a selection at Romford.
Friday's Tips
*** Jacktavern Lab - 7.43 Sunderland
** Bubbly Crusader - 9.13 Romford
* Bower Sheeran - 8.43 Sunderland
Jacktavern Lab was a little unfortunate not to make it through on the right side of his Arena Racing Company Grand Prix semi-final last week, failing to make the final by a head, only a length and a quarter behind the race winner. Being successful tonight will be little consolation to connections, but he should be able to at least put a smile on their faces with a winning run.
Bubbly Crusader is a not a dog who has seen a lot of action in his career but he is electric when he gets it right. He dipped under the 225m track record time at Romford in a recent trial and was a quick winner at the track last week in his heat of this minor competition. All things being equal, a repeat performance of that would be more than enough to see him double up.
There is an excellent sprint this evening at Sunderland where Bower Sheeran can show them the way home. He has a pair of very smart Ted Soppitt-trained runners in opposition, but neither of them have quite looked in peak form in recent weeks whereas Tom Heilbron's runner was a flying winner at Dunstall Park when last seen.
