*** March On Luna - 8.19 Romford

There were some lightning sectionals produced by March On Luna on her way to the Puppy Cup final at Romford back in September and she showed that same electric pace to the bend when winning back here two starts back. A fluent scorer at Nottingham last time out, there is still scope for improvement from her as she matures.

The step up to six bends has allowed Droopys Extragud to flourish. His wins have included heats and final of a minor completion over this track and trip. This is a decent field again that he will have to beat, especially Haka Carlo who is a multiple Category One finalist. He’s a veteran now though and hasn’t been seen in a race for more than six months so he might have to give best to a dog in flying form.
Ballintemple Gem is a fascinating one at Dunstall Park this evening as she looks for a cleaner run around than when knocked out of the Puppy Oaks in the opening round on Sunday at Oxford. She was only 4/1 that day which isn’t a surprise given her 28.68 at Cork in October is a decent standard of run. She lacks a look but she went best at Oxford first time.
