It is exciting to see Silverhill Adam back up in trip again for an Essex Vase trial stakes tonight. He stopped the clock in 34.80 in a trial back in September 2024, beaten in a maiden a fortnight later but that trial time stands out like a beacon here. He has returned to race action in decent heart and he should get his six-bend win in the bag.
Although her two runs at Romford so far have not been her best, The Other Winx has been shaping as if a step up in trip is going to do her good. She made the semi-finals of the bet365 Puppy Oaks at Oxfordbut was knocked over there. A trial back at that track when only beaten a length and a half by Ballymac Axel shows the class that she possesses and this new distance can bring that out.
Tonight might be the night that the winning run of Fabulous Sonique comes to an end. She is not only drawn out in four which is wider than ideal but she will have to clear Gary The Arb on her immediate left. He has shown some of the best form of his career around this 575m test and if he comes away running, is going to be a hard dog to hold.
