Friday's Tips

*** Zenith Jimbombom - 7.33 Romford

** Scooby Amethyst - 7.13 Romford

* Vialli - 8.43 Sunderland

There is a six-bend debut for Zenith Jimbombom this evening, and he can get off the mark at the first time of asking. He has not got his head in front since a Derby trial stakes back in April but he has kept some warm company on his travels this year, making the semis of the Arc Kent Plate and the Ladbrokes Gold Cup. He can be quickly in control of the rails here against an easier field.

After finding trouble in the opening round of the Coral Puppy Cup on her race debut, Scooby Amethyst has gone on an absolute tear in graded company, winning three straight. It looks only a matter of time before she dips under 24 seconds, which should be more than good enough in a maiden. She can hold the inside to the opening bend and kick away down the back.

A sprint final can go the way of Vialli who was the quickest of the qualifiers from the heats. He is a sprinter who doesn't really trap but his pace to the opening bend is ferocious, overcoming those sticky exits. If he ever times his break perfectly, there is a very quick run coming from him, but he can see these off even if he doesn't.
