** Meenagh Minsk - 8.13 Romford

* Piemans Goalie - 9.33 Romford

It is a decent field that Tiffield Tarqin has to face in the closing race at Romford this evening but the newly crowned Coral Essex Vase champion should be well up to the task. He has a vacant trap inside him which will give him plenty of room, while he has the pace to turn right on the speed in this lineup in any case. Underground Fizz is a danger if she can wriggle clear early enough on the inside but the selection is the toughest opponent she has faced in a while here.  

It was a first look at Romford for Meenagh Minsk last week, not trapping like she can and pacing up into trouble at the opening bend. She is capable of coming away much better tonight with that experience behind her, and on the form that she has produced elsewhere, she looks a 3.65 type here. That can see her away and gone and the Oaks semi-finalist can get her head back in front.

There is plenty of early pace in the 9.33 but the race contains one of the best drawn dogs of the night in Piemans Goalie. The sole railer, the two dog outside him is going to move straight right from the lids, and while there are plenty of dogs quick to the bend in here, he is going to have the freedom of Essex on the inside and that can be a big help.
