Friday's Greyhound Racing Tips - 24 April 2026
There is open class racing on Friday night at both Romford and Sunderland, with two picks from the first of those and one from the other this evening.
Friday's Tips
*** Aayamza Legend - 8.33 Romford
** Mystical Batman - 7.53 Romford
* Romeo Alonso - 9.23 Sunderland
Aayamza Legend has only won two of his seven starts over Romford's 575m distance but they have both been quick times, and there have been some solid efforts around those in defeat. He is a very quick starter when he is on his game, and with efforts of 35.10 and 35.14 in his last three runs on this track, he would be hard to beat if he can reproduce those.
It's fair to say that Mystical Batman has not managed to get his head in front as many times as perhaps he should have done so far in his career. There have been some runs that make him look very smart, including a win over Droopys Doris at Oxford back in the middle of March. The slower pace of things over six bends could be a big help to him here and if he turns in front, he should have the measure of these.
There is an interesting six-bend contest at Sunderland tonight where Romeo Alonso might just be the answer. He has some decent form here in the past and is going to have an excellent second hare to chase in Witton Gucci who looks like the likely leader here. He is a very strong runner over this sort of trip and can prove the strongest coming home.
