We head to Dunstall Park this evening for three tips on the open races on a card that features plenty of well-known names.

*** Pain Barrier - 8.47 Dunstall Park
** Droopys Extragud - 8.31 Dunstall Park
* Bang On Edith - 7.39 Dunstall Park
The return to Dunstall Park can spark Pain Barrier back to winning ways for Kim Billingham-Hine. He was a flying 27.80 winner in a supporting contest on Oaks final night here at the end of October, making his way to the final of the Eclipse subsequently. He was poorly drawn on that occasion and took a tumble, so the return to a happy stomping ground as well as a draw back on the inside should combine to make him very hard to beat at 8.47.
A draw in three should not prove to be an issue to Droopys Extragud who can continue his flying six-bend form in the Arc Stayers Trophy at 8.31. He has four lengths in hand on the heat times from last week, with the pair who produced the slowest sectionals in the two slots inside him. He can turn on the speed and grind these into the floor from off the front.
It is interesting to see Nathan Hunt bring Bang On Edith back from season in a sprint at Dunstall Park tonight. Her early pace over four bends has often suggested that she is worth a try over two bends and her recent trials suggest she is well up to the task. She's been given plenty of time, a day short of 13 weeks, and although she lacks a look here, it has not shaped as the most difficult place to run first time.
