We head to Romford on Friday night for our greyhound racing tips. The card is headlined by the six heats of the Category One Coral Golden Sprint.

Stormy Pat is all about early boot, finshing third in his semi-final during the Silver Maiden. This trip is as far as he wants to go, but he looks to have been given a very winnable opportunity this evening to kick off the card. His best effort came when beating a strong yardstick in Silver Bucks five lengths last year. Three runs in his career have seen him dip under 24 seconds, another should be more than enough.
On the bare Romford form in the book, Slingshot Gazza will need to come on a couple of lengths for his recent trial around. If he comes away as he has at the peak of his powers, he can find that on the run to the opening bend alone, and there should be plenty of natural progression to come having now that he has had a look around here.
It could be that Avarua Zlatan is something of a forgotten dog. He returned to race action for the first time in three months at this track last week, chasing home Pro Parker in a decent 24.04. Fully entitled to sharpen up for that, he produced smart form at this level last year and was only beaten a length in a recent sprint trial at Hove by his very quick kennelmate Avarua Lake.
