Full list of Select Stakes entries is released
The final nominations for Nottingham's Select Stakes have been made, with nine runners put forward for the £12,500 to the winner one-off contest on August 31.
Nine Select Stakes Entries
Last year's winner Wicky Ned heads the entries for the Arena Racing Company Select Stakes which takes place over 500m at Nottingham on Monday week, August 31.
Nine entries for the £12,500 showcase one-off were received by the Nottingham racing office by closing time of 1pm today (Friday) and a panel of Greyhound Writers' Association members will now choose the six runners who will line up chasing gold in the famous race on Bank Holiday Monday.
The Select Stakes will share the stage with the £12,500 final of the Arc Puppy Classic - the semis take place on Monday - and the £2,500 Arc Select Stayers (730m), for which six entries were received, headed by TV Trophy champion Droopys Rated.
Trials before racing on Monday have been booked for Clonbrien Piper, Strike It Skye, Wicky Ned and Droopys Rated. Others could follow.
