Five tracks shortlisted for Track of the Year Award
The Greyhound Board of Great Britain is delighted to announce the shortlisted tracks for its inaugural Track of the Year Award.
Introduced as part of GBGB’s greyhound racing centenary celebrations, the Award looks to celebrate the many achievements of the country’s most popular tracks in 2025. The shortlist has been decided following over 1,000 responses to the public voting form which allowed punters to nominate a track and score it based on a range of criteria – from race commentary to food and drink to track presentation.
Five tracks have now been shortlisted for the Award, with the winner to be announced at the GBGB Awards ceremony in March.
The shortlisted tracks are (alphabetically):
Coral Romford Greyhound Stadium
Ladbrokes Monmore Green Greyhound Stadium
Owlerton Stadium (Sheffield)
Star Pelaw Greyhound Stadium
Yarmouth Greyhound Stadium
Mark Moisley, Commercial Director of GBGB, said:
“Congratulations to all five tracks who have been shortlisted for our first ever Track of the Year Award. We were delighted to see so many responses from race-goers who have enjoyed their visits to stadia across the country, and the five tracks listed received widespread feedback for all that they offer for spectators.
“It takes a tremendous amount of work to run a greyhound track, and the teams behind these five have gone above and beyond to enhance the experience for their customers. We look forward to seeing those behind these tracks at the Awards ceremony to celebrate their many achievements in 2025.”
The GBGB Awards will take place on Thursday 5th March 2026 at Easthampstead Park, Wokingham. Tickets to the GBGB Awards ceremony are on sale and are priced at £95 per person. This includes a drinks reception, three-course meal with wine and entertainment. To book, please call: 020 7822 0920.
