Green lands Derby undercard treble with three bullets
Belinda Green was the trainer to beat at Towcester on Saturday night on the Derby undercard with three winners.

Green fires the right bullets at Towcester
There was some excellent action on the 14-race undercard at Towcester last night where Belinda Green took the blue jacket that had been so successful through the Derby and made it her own with a treble of winners all from the two box.
Quickest of those was Bikini Bullet in the second race. She flew out the boxes to a 3.73 split and never looked back, maintaining a searching gallop to stop the clock in 28.42. That was second only to Lennies Eddie in the Derby final in terms of 500m times on the night.
It was a double in the opening two races on the card for Green with 2025 Oaks finalist Raebella Bullet adopting the same out and gone tactics to take out the opening race of the night. It was a visually spectacular performance, scoring by seven lengths, though no less than she deserved after a very unlucky run around in the bitches competition heats on Sunday.
That bitches competition still went to Green as Bombshell Bullet completed the treble. Her 3.87 split was still enough to poke her head in front at the opening bend to supplement her heat win where she had got in the way of her kennelmate.
Start The Engine produced a track record over the new 460m distance for Kevin Hutton. He too sported the blue jacket as the first four races on the card all went to the two box. He was rarely seen away from Oxford in his younger days but has made it 2/2 now over the shorter four-bend trip at Towcester.
There was a double on the card for Hutton as Tooreen Rose took out a 712m contest. She has done well since she has been stepped up in distance, taking the notable scalp of Derby semi-finalist Ballymac Iroko here. Liam Dowling's runner was not helped by a loose muzzle and is worth another chance over this sort of trip.
Over the same distance, Droopys Flare was a spectacular winner for Sean Parker. She has been one of the top stayers in the country for the better part of 18 months, though always just in the shadow of Mongys Wild. Now looks her time to shine as she made it 6-0 in her clashes with Vhagar.
The longest race of the night closed out the card as Droopys Rated ran riot in the Dorando Marathon. He paced up to lead at the first of the eight bends and that was game, set and match. He too set a track record, running riot by 15 and three-quarter lengths, justifying his position as the shortest-priced winner on the night.
One of the best races of the night came in the Derby consolation as Strike It Skye turned second to the bold front-running Scooby The Lady. Of all the field to turn behind the Richard Rees-trained bitch, she was the one that favourite backers would have wanted the least. She showed a great attitude to gradually wear the leader down to score by three-quarters of a length.
Six railers lined up in the final of the Derby Plate and it was Romeo Ability in the striped jacket who showed the best early gears to clear his field from the widest draw. He had led up in the semis before being picked up by Singalong Polly but the Pat Buckley-trained favourite found all the trouble going in behind.
Maxine Locke got on the board in the puppy competition courtesy of Annadown Chip. He had been the quickest of the heat winners when drawn in five, sporting the red jacket in the final. The punters could barely split him and his litter brother Annadown Warrior at the head of the market and the pair dominated proceedings from the top and bottom positions.
The sprint final saw Bockos Buster first to show for Kevin Boon and that was all she wrote. With Cat One final form over 450m at Sunderland and 462m at Yarmouth, there was never a hope for his rivals to pick him up. It was his final start for Boon, going out on a high before joining Savva Roberts.
There was a win for Ricky Holloway from Rapido Benny who picked the right time to find his trapping boots again in the final of the Greyhound Trader competition. Another blue-jacketed winner, he was quickly to the fore and was always doing enough to hold off the gallant veteran Uncle Freddie who nearly had the fairytale end to his career on his swansong.
Romeo Force pulled off a win from a poor draw for Kelly Hodson, sporting the striped jacket to victory despite wanting a slot much closer to the rails. He rode a bump at the opening bend, chopped off the favourite Fabulous Aria at the second turn and set sail for home down the back.
A veterans contest was won by Naochra, another to make all of the running from the blue jacket. There were other pace angles in the contest but they failed to fire to leave John Flaherty's strong runner in front early and there was no chance that he was going to be caught.
130/1 double at Central Park for Martyn Wiley
Martyn Wiley was the only trainer to pick up more than one winner from the Central Park opens. Alana The Second was the shorter of his two winners at 9/1, making all of the running in her contest. She is a perfect 3/3 over the 491m trip at the Kent track and a litter sister to recent Lee Strand winner Music Inthe Air.
Unmistakeable was 12/1, kicking off the double earlier on in the card but he came from behind to get his head in front after the had turned for home. He has proven to be an adaptable type, scoring over Nottingham's shorter 255m sprint trip earlier in his career as well as having a trio of 575m wins at Romford.
The list of Central Park successes for Brunch Pal continues to grow, Dave Lee's star producing the quickest run of the night on what was a slow track. He has now won five straight starts at the venue with the unlucky Distant Hiker finishing runner-up to him in the last four of those for Dean Childs.
There were a couple of sprints on the card, the quicker of the pair going to False Strap. It was a messy first bend but the innermost draw allowed Tony Dean's runner to emerge with the lead. The two who trailed the field in the early stages filled the first two spots in this one.
Joescourtsad took the other sprint on the card for Allison Kelly-Pilgrim. He managed to pick the right path through another messy first bend to take his first open race success at the sixth time of asking.
Over six bends there was a victory for Barry O'Sullivan's Good Rainbow. She has cooled off a little since a flying start to 2026 which saw her win six of her first eight starts of the year, but she has proven very well suited to the 664m test of her home track.
The most spectacular performance of the night came from Michelle Brown's Lincoln Impact who made a winning debut at the track. He walked out the traps and was forced to check at the quarter mark which saw him well adrift at the second bend. He took off down the back, picked up the lead turning for home before flying four and a quarter lengths clear.
Paul Donovan got on the scoresheet courtesy of Westwood Shay. He was making his English debut and shaped like he would come on plenty for the first race at the track, driving the third bend better than the leader to take up the running at that point and pulling away.
The other open on the card went to Ever So Cheerio for Nick Carter, getting up late on in the piece after finding plenty of trouble in the early stages. It was only his third start over 491m, winning an A3 the time before.
Four for Morris at Doncaster
There were four winners from five runners for Craig Morris on the Doncaster card. They were led by Up Quick who lived up to his name to run riot in a sprint contest by eight and a half lengths. He only had an A6 Romford win on his card prior to this clear career best, with the traps and different track clearly suiting him.
There was a sprint double for Morris as Nightingale Crew added another win to his resume. It was his first look at the track, adding it to his list of winning venues and making it four straight wins for him after a trio of victories at Romford, making it nine wins in 16 starts overall.
Droopys Assured had not been seen in race action since a win at Yarmouth in mid-February but he'd had a few trials that suggested he was ready to get back to work. He landed a 483m contest with a minimum of fuss to make it two wins in three starts for Morris.
The opening winner on the card for Morris was Bossman Buddy who grabbed a 450m contest by the scruff of the neck down the back and was completely dominant from that point on. He would eventually run out the winner by almost nine lengths.
Another impressive winner on the card was Epic Rebel who picked up a 483m contest for Phil Milner. He was second in the betting behind Gymcrack finalist Annadown Shadow but he took the lead on the long run to the first bend and never looked like he would be caught form there.
Sean Parker was out of luck with Annadown Shadow but he took a win with an ex-Milner inmate in Keefill Sequoia. He had won his last start for Milner at this track and has now been victorious in four of his five starts for Parker, with all of those wins also coming at this venue.
The winning margin of the 661m contest on the card was 11 lengths as David Fradgley's Conlig Annie dominated from the front. She was only a length ahead of her closest rival as they crossed the line the first time around but she was hugely impressive on the second circuit, coming ever further clear.
Drumdoit Gonzo picked up a sprint from the front for Joy Andrews and Butterbridge Fiz landed a 450m contest to open up the night for Lisa Stephenson.
Hotshot wins at Yarmouth
There were just two opens at Yarmouth yesterday with Royal Hotshot producing the better of the two performances at 9/1 for John Mullins. She was in control of affairs from an early stage here, taking advantage of plenty of room.
The other open went to Goldcash Force for Kevin Cobbold. She has worked her way up the grades nicely at the track, getting off the mark in opens at the first time of asking form the front.
