Greyhound Homing UK begin their Star Sports/TRC English Greyhound Derby Fundraising

Greyhound Homing UK are aiming to reach £10,000 as they kick off their fundraising on the opening night of the Star Sports/TRC English Greyhound Derby at Towcester on Thursday.

The fundraising will run throughout the Derby thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers helping at the track with their retired greyhounds. Notably, Peaceful Pets, Home Run Hounds and Crossing Cottage will all be present and are being especially generous with their time.

Both cash and card donations will be welcome at the track, while there will also be a Just Giving page from round two onwards for those enjoying the Derby from home who wish to contribute.

Home Run Hounds will have a stall on quarter-final night (Saturday 31st May), and Crossing Cottage on the evening of the Final (Saturday 14th June), with both selling all things greyhounds related.

Pablo The Pup returns

Also, the popular Pablo The Pup, who recorded his 21st victory at Towcester last week, will be making his fifth Derby fundraising appearance and he will be selling cuddles, as usual.

There will be a prize draw running throughout the Derby, with the winner being drawn on Final night. It is £2 per ticket and the prize pot has been donated by 1st Aid at Work Training Services. The prizes are as follows:

1st Prize - £1000 Cash

2nd Prize - £700 Travel Voucher

3rd Prize - £500 Cash

4th Prize - £200 Spa Voucher

5th Prize - £100 Cash
