Greyhound Trader Doncaster sales could potentially throw up a few bargains

The Greyhound Trader Doncaster sales took place last Friday 15th August and there were a number of interesting sales to report on.

A quieter sales than usual with an overall turnover of just over £47,000, but perhaps that subsequently could spring a few bargains.

Top lot of the day was Droopys Package from the Dunphy kennels, who sold for £4000 to local trainer Kirsty Grayson

Recording a time of 30.60 for the 483m, the March 2024 son of Droopys Flytline and Droopys Hunch showed plenty of greenness but a likeable attitude to get up late to win his trial.

Fast Track Lady was the next highest sale at £2600. A June 2024 daughter of King Elvis, she clocked a decent 28.48 over 450m and joins Shaun Gresham at Swindon for owner Gaz Williams.

Another impressive young lady to sell was Ivy Hill Stella who made £2500. An April 2024 daughter of Malachi and Coolavanny Chick who stopped the clock in 28.62, Stella will be one to watch under the care of young handler Craig Calvert.

The fastest times of the day were as follows: (450m) Ruinthelonggame - 28.23 & (483m) Move Over Connie - 29.88. Unfortunately however neither greyhound made their reserve price and returned back to Ireland.

Of the 44 greyhounds to reach the bench, 36 sold at a success rate of 82%.

The next Greyhound Trader track sales will take place at Oxford on Wednesday 15th October but before then, International Greyhound Services Ltd will host their next auction at Hove on Monday 15th September
