Guilfoyle trio among Puppy Classic entry
Nottingham kicks off youngsters event on Monday with six heats
Arc-backed annual will share stage with Select Stakes on August 31
There is significant Irish interest in this year's Arena Racing Company Puppy Classic which starts over 500m at Nottingham on Monday.
A full quota of entries was received by the Colwick Park venue and six heats of the 36-runner Category One annual will take place next week with the race to the £12,500 first prize, won last year by Partrick Janssens' Romeo Alliance, looking as intriguing as ever.
Betway Juvenile Classic winner Arthur Bitter is one of the notable names on the start sheet for Monday, along with littermates Annadown Warrior and Annadown Shadow, who finished second and fourth in the Towcester event. The last-named pair clash in Monday's first heat.
Irish interest is provided by the Patrick Guilfoyle-trained Daleroad Magic, Magical Marty and Magical Faye.
The Arc Puppy Classic runs across the next three Mondays, with the final on Bank Holiday Monday (August 31) - sharing the stage that night with the Arc Select Stakes.
The prestigious one-off, won last year by Wicky Ned, closes to entries at 1pm on Friday, August 21.
A panel of Greyhound Writers' Association members will then choose the runners, to be confirmed by August 25.
