All eyes on the Nevill Road circuit Hove on Saturday evening for the Category One finals of the Premier Greyhound Racing Regency and Coral Sussex Cup on Gone To The Dogs – Live!


Let's delve into the stats at the south coast venue. 


If your looking for stats, then Greyhound Stats UK is the go-to website for all Greyhound Racing Statistics.

Hove, for example, over the four-bend 500 metre trip shows T1 is the most common winner with 23.6% wearing the red jacket.

Queen Sinead and Roanna Mamba share second place with 16.21 efforts with Clonheena Bully a couple of spots further back in 16.23. 



Coral Sussex Sprint Trophy final on Saturday:



The four-bend 500 metre track stats sees Coral Sussex Cup finalist Slick Sentinel in the lead with a flying 28.82 run recorded on June 26. 

The Patrick Janssens-trained wide seed is a current 4/1 shot for the Category One final on Saturday evening on Gone To The Dogs - Live! and has every chance with a ping break. 


The second quickest time of the year so far goes to Headford Asher bolted up in the £5000 to the winner Hove Puppy Cup final back on Saturday April 26 clocking 28.88. The Maxine Locke-trained August 2023 son of Ballymac Bolger is a class act when he gets it right at the boxes. 



The quickest time of the year for the 515 metre trip goes to the Mark Wallis-trained flying machine Proper Heiress who lines up from T2 in the Coral Sussex Cup final on Saturday evening. Last Saturday in the semi-final of the £10,000 to the winner Category One final he paced up well into the corner, kicked for home and won by a length and three quarters with Chelms Bear back in second also qualifying for the final. 



The final of the Coral Sussex Cup:



Its no surprise to see Mongys Wild at the top of the 695 chart following a flying 41.12 run in the Premier Greyhound Racing Regency semi-finals last Saturday. The Mark Wallis-trained Superstar is the 2/5 favourite to land the £20,000 to the winner final and granted a clear run he's the one they all have to beat. Garfiney Blaze has the second quickest time of the year with a 41.45 clock in the first round heats of the competition. The clock says there's just over four-lengths between the Wallis-trained pair, lets see what happens on Saturday night.

Average winning times in graded races:

An interesting stats available on the Greyhound Stats Website is the average winning time in graded company. 

Top A1 graded races are won with an average winning time of 29.65 with bottom grade A11 races in 30.74, that's a 13 and a half length difference.
