Hove's Puppy Cup attracted 26 entries for a field of 18
Hove Racing Manager Rob Abrey is delighted that the Category Two Puppy Cup which starts on Saturday night has been oversubscribed with entries.

Hove entries over the limit for Puppy Cup
Hove received 26 entries for the 18-runner Hove Puppy Cup, a Category Two event which starts on Saturday and supports the Coral Brighton Belle.
"It's almost going against the grain in terms of numbers, but it was great to see - I could even name six reserves!" said Hove racing manager Rob Abrey.
Worth £5,000 to the winner, three heats of the puppy event take place alongside three semi-finals of the Brighton Belle, making for a cracking card at the seaside track on Saturday.
"The Brighton Belle almost speaks for itself and we have a worthy favourite in Strike It Syke but the likes of Raebella Bullet and Teddie were impressive heat winners and there are others who can play a part in how the competition unfolds still.
"But the Hove Puppy Cup heats really look good. We've got some talented local youngsters plus the likes of Paul Young, Maxine Locke and Kevin Hutton have also entered runners.
"It looks a good event and stands up well along with the Brighton Belle semis and the heats of the Coral Sprint Trophy over 285m."
