The Irish may have been out of luck in the StarSports Greyhound Derby Final at Towcester on Saturday Night when Droopys Plunge pounced late to land the honours, but Ian Fortune created his own piece of history as he became the first person to win the GWA Tipping Competition for the third time.

Having led in the early stages, Fortune held off the challenges from Greyhound Racing UK's Jonathan Hobbs and Graham Banks to land the £500 prize donated by organisers StarSports
