Icemans Girl comfortable and well after surgery
The Nathan Hunt-trained Icemans Girl had surgery following an injury on Thursday evening in the heats of the ARC Angel of The North at Newcastle.
Speaking to Nathan Hunt, he said: “Bella had surgery first thing on Friday morning by Stefano at Romford. She had two screws fitted and she seems very comfortable. She’s absolutely perfect at home which will help with the healing, and then we will look forward to having her pups. She will go back to her breeder, John/Maria Kennedy for those.’’
Icemans Girl is famously owned by darts player Gerwyn Price, who this weekend denied Gary Anferson to claim the Baltic Sea Darts Open crown. Price secured his ninth European Tour Title but his first since April 2023. Price will now head to the upcoming Betfred World Matchplay in a bid to go one better than his runner-up spot back in 2022.
Gerwyn Price is a lifelong greyhound racing enthusiast and has owned several greyhounds, including Grandslam Champ and Icemans Girl.
