Irish Performance of the Week - 22 April 2025
A look back at the top performances from all the greyhound racing tracks in Ireland from the past week.

Irish Performance of the Week
There is only one place that we can possibly start this week and that is at Limerick where Faypoint Ranger won the Con & Annie Kirby Memorial. Graham Holland's youngster could well have put himself in the picture for a Derby bid, though whether that is Towcester or Shelbourne later in the year, we will have to wait and see.
The oldest greyhound on the list this week is the remarkable Earn Perks. She whelped a litter in May 2023, missing 13 months of racing as a result. A smart performer before she had pups, she has turned into an outstanding sprinter now that she has become a mum. She has three of the four quickest times of the year over Tralee's 325y distance with 2023 Kingdom Derby winner Road Exile holding the other.
Another to land a blow for 2021 whelps was Seven Beach. Winner of the Droopys Stud Select Stakes at Waterford, he produced heat and final times within four spots of one another. He has shown some of the best form of his career over the last six months.
When it comes to the youngest on the list, it's Droopys Hottie at Newbridge that takes that crown. She was competitive at Shelbourne without winning but she has taken to Newbridge well, winning three of her four runs at the Co. Kildare venue. She won the first 575y race run at the track this year in a time less than five lengths off the. track record.
It would be remiss not to mention Shelbourne in despatches. It was Shebetheone who went quickest in the Puppy Oaks semis there to take the crown. From an exceptional family, she will already be a superb breeding prospect and can make that doubly so if she can claim the final on Saturday evening.
