Irish Performance of the Week - 27 May 2025
We take a look back at the last week and the top performances at each of the Irish greyhound racing tracks.

Irish Performance of the Week
There is only one place that we can start this week and that is at Tralee where Daleroad Duke set a new track record for the 525y distance. He had broken the clock back in 2023 before In Good Time shaved a spot off in last year. Pat Guilfoyle's near veteran is still performing right at the top of his game, winning three of his last five starts.
Shelbourne saw some smart times (as usual) with Epic Ace just the best of them. It was a tough week to choose from the winners as there were smart times over three different trips and pulling apart their relative merits is not always easy. The son of Signet Ace already has the fastest 350y time at the track this year, putting himself in the top 10 of the 525y runs at the weekend.
The unbeaten start to Magical Luka's career continued at Dundalk, improving on his best time once more to make it 3/3. His win last week was just 29 spots off the track record set by Broadstrand Syd on his way to winning the Bar One Irish Sprint Cup. He is one of just two October 2023 whelps on the list this week.
It might have only been an S5 contest that Gundy won at Drumbo but his 17.74 is only six spots off the quickest of the year so far for the 335y distance. He is part of just the second litter on the ground in Europe by his Australian sire Koblenz. There is an Unlock Unlock litter by Koblenz with Brendan Matthews that are January 24 whelps so it will be interesting to see what he can produce to a very smart brood.
Only Born To Perform has gone quicker over 525y at Clonmel this year than Snazzy Boss. It was a third win in 10 career starts and comfortably the best effort so far. He is a litter brother to Tomahawk who won at Romford on Friday for Michelle Brown with his dam a half-sister to the likes of Riverside Honey and Black Parachute.
