The Coral Coronation Cup final takes place at Romford this evening at 9.11pm with a £10,000 to the winner prize up for grabs in what is not the final most would have expected pre competition.

Fabulous Sonique is going to go off a short price favourite following two big shocks in the semi-finals where Jades Rocket was a 33/1 winner beating another 33/1 shot in Whitewood Libre as well as Cree Bono winning at 12/1 beating Golden Palace at 6/1 in a four dog race. The form stood up in Fabulous Sonique’s semi-final as she beat Teddie to progress to this evening's showpiece.

The race depends on how Fabulous Sonique deals with trap four, if she can come away running she should lead and win but clearing Teddie on her immediate inside could be a hinderance. However, I believe Fabulous Sonique breaks better from the middle boxes so I can see her being in front at the bend and that would be that. There would not be anything in the race strong enough to back run Mark Wallis’s bitch so it’s hard to oppose her.

Teddie if leading would be difficult to beat and the same can be said for Golden Palace. If he hits the front at any stage he would not be for catching.

Cree Bono, Jades Rocket and Whitewood Libre all need to lead to give themselves a chance but with six railers in the final Whitewood Libre needs to be on her toes early to try and get across however this is all about the run Fabulous Sonique gets.

Good luck to all six finalists!

Also on the card is a 750m Maiden Marathon at 8.36pm where Lilys Bullet takes all the beating. She has winning form over 695m at Hove coming from off the pace so a clear run for her will see her win.

The Romford Friday Night 500 Maiden Final over 400m at 8.54pm can go to Chelms Chloe who will be an extremely short price but should do the business from trap three if coming away on terms.

We also have the Ashwells A7 Kennel Sweepstskr Final at 7.11pm where trap one Two Sterling can follow up her impressive heat display by taking the final. She has plenty of time in hand on the field after her 24.24 victory last week and takes all the beating in a race worth £500 to winning connections.

The final race of the evening is the RGOA Stayers over 575m where Gary The Arb can add to his C&D wins, following on from last week's impressive 34.79 victory beating Droopys Rosie who re-opposes this evening.
