Joe's Saturday Tips – PGR Regency, Coral Sussex Cup & BetGoodwin Pall Mall Preview
Joe shares his expert greyhound racing tips for Hove Greyhound Stadium and Oxford, previewing the PGR Regency, Coral Sussex Cup, and BetGoodwin Pall Mall semi-finals with sectional insights and predicted winners.

The PGR Regency and Coral Sussex Cup get underway at Hove Greyhound Stadium this evening as well as the semi-finals of the BetGoodwin Pall Mall at Oxford.
PGR Regency Heats – Saturday at Hove
At Hove we kick off with the six heats of the Regency and in heat one I fancy Bombay Nutty to get the better of Breton Molly in what looks a bit of a match race on paper. He seems to have improved over the last few weeks and can get favourite backers off to a flying start in the first heat at 6.08pm.
It is extremely difficult to look past Romeo Empire in heat two at 6.26pm. He has been faultless since stepping up to six bends with four victories from four starts including three over this 695m C&D, so he should comfortably win.
Ante post favourite and staying superstar Mongys Wild should return to competitive action with a bang in heat three at 6.42pm. He has been off the card since early June but gets a comfortable reappearance assignment and can get the better of St Leger finalist Tuono Bella to kick off his campaign.
Heat four at 6.59pm is arguably the most open of the six. Proper Dangeress steps up to six bends after a dominant four-bend display at Central Park, but I’m siding with Swift Jarvis in a race that could suit strong stayers like him and Alright Gordy.
Heat five sees Vhagar return at 7.16pm. The shorter run to the bend could hinder if she misses the break, but she has the speed to lead by the third bend and hold on late.
The final heat at 7.33pm features Garfiney Blaze, who returns after a shock Sheffield defeat. A fast 41.75 trial over this Hove C&D suggests he’s back in top form and ready to reel in Burrows Eclipse, who is expected to lead early.
Coral Sussex Cup Heats – Wide Draws & Derby Runners Return
Heat one of the Coral Sussex Cup at 7.49pm has Ballymac Kobe drawn in trap six and looking to make all again. With five railers inside, he should get a clean run, with Kilmore Dancer and No Better Feeling chasing home.
Heat two at 8.07pm marks the return of King Memphis (T2). He’ll need to avoid trouble from Bower Gift (T1) and Kevins Rocket (T3). I’m siding with Uncle Freddie (T6) who has the draw, pace, and stamina to run big at a price.
At 8.24pm, Romeo Tomcat should control heat three with a good break. The Derby Plate winner can lead from the second bend, while Gary The Arb and Queen Shakira follow.
Heat four at 8.41pm is all about Slick Sentinel. His recent 8-length trial stakes win makes him a banker if he breaks level from T6.
Heat five at 8.59pm is a match between Chelms Bear and Newinn Benni. I’ll side with Newinn Benni to lead and escape trouble. Chelms Bear may leave it too late to challenge if turning behind.
Heat six at 9.16pm sees the return of Proper Heiress, who bombed out in the Derby but has since clocked a rapid 29.74 over this C&D. If he breaks, the Coral Olympic champ should justify his 9/4 outright favourite tag.
BetGoodwin Pall Mall Semi-Finals – Oxford
At Oxford, semi-final one at 8.09pm can go to Salacres Senan who is improving with every run. Even if Rioja Oisin leads early, Senan can pick him up late.
Semi-final two at 8.26pm looks similar, with Union Rebel expected to lead. I like Antigua Kestrel to chase him home but may just run out of track.
In semi-final three at 8.43pm, Crossfield Enzo looks the value to lead and make all. He needed the run last time when chasing home Antigua Kestrel, and any improvement sees him win with Coppice Ella running on for second.
