Joe's Star Sports/TRC Greyhound Derby tips - Heats 11-21
It's day two of the Star Sports/TRC English Greyhound Derby where Joe Conneely has a top for every heat this evening.

***NAP - Heat 19 - Romeo Empire (5pts) EVS
**NB - Heat 16 - Keefill Goose (3pts) 3/1
Heat 11
We start night two with a cracker and a couple of fairly well fancied types in Racketball Brute and Ballymac Axel. I am with Ballymac Axel who has a nice draw to work from in five with Racketball Brute not the quickest into stride and moving in slightly from trap four. This is a competitive race where it is hard to rule out any of the runners from qualifying.
Heat 12
Trap one for me Start The Mixer who is still a maiden but found himself in a more than winnable heat. He will be suited by being drawn inside so as long as he gets a clear run he can run a big race.
Heat 13
A competitive race with plenty of strong runners and I am going to be with one of them in Ballinabola Jim. Tricky Wiggles should stay out of his way and if he gets a clear run and takes to the track he can go well with Ballymac Kobe a big runner on the inside.
Heat 14
Reigning champion De Lahdedah can get his 2025 Derby campaign off to a flying start by taking this heat. He has trialed well clocking 28.82 and the inside draw in one makes him extremely difficult to beat.
Heat 15
I fancy Romeo Steel but he needs to avoid Faypoint Harvey on his inside who will move off from trap two so he needs one of his better breaks. If getting it, Romeo Steel can lead and make all.
Heat 16
This heat can go to Keefill Goose who can lead all the way. Kilmore Dancer looks the main danger but if Keefill Goose can trap on terms he has got the early to dominate and ran extremely well behind Cheap Sandwiches in a trial stakes on Easter Sunday.
Heat 17
This heat is all about March On Freddie who bounced back to form with a devastating display at Central Park last weekend clocking 28.46 beating a decent field. He hasn’t shown his true colours at Towcester but can get his campaign underway with a victory with Fabulous Aria chasing him home in second.
Heat 18
Think the race could suit Dynamic Force out wide with Droopys Pivotel and Antigua Kestrel potentially causing each other problems and with a vacant box inside, Dynamic Force can use that to his advantage to lead and win.
Heat 19
A greyhound who could go deep in this competition is Romeo Empire with his strong running style and he can reel in leader Indian Bonnie in this heat. Ballymac Lucia would be a big player if clearing Romeo Empire but with him drawn inside I’m with him to run down the leaders and win.
Heat 20
Patrick Janssens is double handed here with Romeo Command and Slick Sentinel but it is Scooby The Boss in trap one who I am going to be with. He heads into this in good form at Monmore although hasn’t had a competitive race in a month he has trialled well and the inside draw can see him go well.
Heat 21
A tricky race where it is hard to rule any of the field out. There could be a battle for the lead between One Slick Jamie and Long Fellow on the inside so that could allow Hollyhill Pad a chance to catch the early pacers with his strong running style so I will be with Hollyhill Pad but could not rule anything out including Slingshot Sam and Burrows Eclipse.
